All the Colour! Styling Coloured Gemstones

There’s something about the change in seasons that makes you want to change up your look. Whether you’re heading into Fall and want to change up your colours like the leaves, or feeling the urge for a Spring fresh-up, adding a shimmering pop of colour is the perfect way to get your fix.
Coloured gemstones are a great way to refresh your jewellery wardrobe (in fact, your entire wardrobe!) by bringing a pop of brightness to whatever you are wearing. Best of all, these sparkling stones aren’t just made for one season – you’ll treasure them for life, and you can work them into so many looks and jewellery styles.
We asked three chic style influencers to share their favourite coloured gemstones and how they style them for the new season, to get you inspired!

Wearing a gemstone not only adds a pop of colour to your look but also helps with healing the soul. Wearing a gemstone associated with your birth month is a symbol of wellness and good fortune, which is why it’s considered lucky to have at least one in your jewellery collection.

There is a halo around my gorgeous sapphire, making it quite the statement piece. To keep it a main focus, I have paired it with a simple dome gold ring and a thin band of dainty sapphires and diamonds to support the statement ring.

Another great thing about gemstones is that they are timeless! Adding one to your collection is an investment. These can also be passed down for generations.

I loved playing around with soft colours to match the gemstones in my necklaces and rings. With spring coming up, I paired soft pink tones with opals, complementing their natural shine. For aquamarine jewels, I decided to match the shade with a playful pastel floral blue dress.

There’s never a right or wrong when it comes to styling gemstones! Keep trying different combinations to see what works and what doesn’t. Experiment with different outfit choices until you find the perfect combination. Sometimes it can be as small as figuring out an outfit first before choosing your finer jewellery pieces to go with it.

Always wear stacker rings to enrich the look. I usually wear gold accessories therefore I have a couple of gold rings which can be worn individually or stacked with coloured gemstones. Try to stack thin rings with wide rings, it makes the look bold and playful.

Styling an emerald pendant with knitwear is a good idea too. Emerald goes with any light and neutral colour knitwear - a pop of green will make you look outstanding.
