My ring fell apart !!
This was our first and only wedding so although both my husband and I arent ring wearers, we wanted Wedding bands to symbolize our commitment to each other. It was January 2019 and we were at church, the service was over and it was social time downstairs. As I was chatting with someone I happened to feel my ring, something was wrong !! I looked immediately and realized the center band had cracked , broken out and 3 diamonds were missing, we all searched for the missing diamonds but unfortunately we couldn't find them. I was and still am shattered and no less in church. We had been married 6 yrs at that time, our relationship was being tested and we were under extreme pressure, you see I had been waiting for test results from a growth on my leg. Without anyone using the word yet, it was presumed to be Cancerous, in fact it was confirmed the following Wednesday.
The last thing we could afford to do is replace my wedding ring. I searched the warranty conditions as well as going into the local Micheal Hill store, unfortunately it was beyond warranty. To this day, March 17 2020 the ring has not been replaced. I am doing very well, I'm Cancer free at the moment and starting work again. Of course we want to replace the ring and it must be the same on to match my husbands, BTW; about 3 or 4 months after my ring falling apart I asked my husband to take his off, it was too much of a reminder of mine that broke.
I dont understand why it happened, I didnt wear my ring daily because I had lost weight and I was afraid of losing it. I am in a white collar position where as my husband has a hands on job. His although dull from where it daily, his is intact where as mine is in a zip lock bag put away.
I couldn't say the quality is below par or that Micheal Hill did anything wrong, they stood by their warrant, unfortunately I was out of it by that time. So that's my story. Take from it what you will, it just my story I've shared with you.
