From a few carefully chosen classic styles, to new must-haves for the season and beyond; from stackable silver and gold pieces to wedding bands as fashion rings – we asked a few of our jewellery-obsessed team members to share with us their essential styles, and what’s on their shopping list for the new season.
1. Paras, Promotions Coordinator
How would you describe your style? I’d say my style is trendy and fashionable.
What’s your everyday go-to jewellery? My everyday go-to jewellery is my diamond wedder that I wear on my middle finger, and my diamond studs.
What’s on your wish list for the new season? I can't wait to get my hands on the upcoming 20mm gold hoop earrings!
2. Daniel, Graphic Designer User Experience
How would you describe your style? My style has been minimalistic but I’m transitioning into a bolder style. I’ve started with fine jewellery, and now that I have all my basic elements I want to step up my look and add layers.
What’s your everyday go-to jewellery? I always wear gold huggies, and I also wear a gold curb bracelet and gold figaro chain from Michael Hill every day. I’m not a fan of mixing metals, I prefer to stick to one metal colour.
Any recent purchases? The curb bracelet was my most recent addition.
What’s on your wish list for the new season? I would love to start layering some bolder pieces with my everyday ones. On my wish list are this chunky curb bracelet and curb chain necklace. The new zodiac necklaces would be great to layer, as would the pieces from our Collectables range - I love smaller pendants for layering.
3. Ngairie, Senior Buyer
How would you describe your style? My style is a combination of minimalistic and classic. With two young children I tend to keep it simple at the moment!
What’s your everyday go-to jewellery? My diamond studs and a right-hand ring are my essentials. I generally wear a pair of 1.50tdw round brilliant studs and a stack of five rings on my right ring finger.
Any recent purchases? I have recently bought a dainty diamond necklace and one of our new initial necklaces. Layering and personalisation are still huge trends so I decided to get on board!
What’s on your wish list for the new season? We have a lot of exciting new items coming! Launching later this year is our new Fenix fashion assortment and I will definitely be buying a couple of pieces! I would also love to get my zodiac from our Collectables range, and maybe a new ring for my right hand – this pavé ring which has just landed in stores is stunning.
4. Juliet, eCommerce Specialist
How would you describe your style? I think my style is minimalist bordering on trendy.
What’s your everyday go-to jewellery? Without fail I wear my solitaire pendant every day – I never take it off! Definitely my go-to piece. I also have a few Michael Hill styles that I wear all the time, including my yellow gold 14mm hoops or my pair of beautiful dainty pearl drop earrings.
Any recent purchases? The September drop has some beautiful gold pieces which I couldn’t resist! I bought the narrow dome ring in yellow gold and the narrow croissant dome ring in yellow gold as soon as they came online.
What’s on your wish list for the new season? I have definitely got the new 20mm braid twist hoops in yellow gold as well as the wide polished dome ring in yellow gold in my wish list! I adore the bold gold range that has launched and want it all!
5. Zeldene, Junior Graphic Designer
How would you describe your style? My style is quite minimal, so when it comes to jewellery my favourites are the timeless classics.
What’s your everyday go-to jewellery? My go-to jewellery is minimalistic – such as thin chains, plain band rings and small stones.
What’s on your wish list for the new season? There are a few silver and gold staples that I love, such as this gold dome ring and this men’s signet ring. I also really want the new Fenix fashion styles that are landing soon, featuring emerald cut stones!
